Organization
The Steinbeis-Stiftung für Wirtschaftsförderung (StW) is the umbrella organization of the Steinbeis Transfer Network. The non-profit foundation and the Steinbeis GmbH & Co. KG für Technologietransfer (StC), responsible for all commercial activities involved in knowledge and technology transfer, are headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany.
The majority of Steinbeis Transfer Centers, subsidiaries and other Steinbeis Enterprises are allocated to StC. They form the basis of our Transfer Network.
Our Centers in the Steinbeis Forschungs- und Entwicklungszentren GmbH are specialized in several kinds of research: market and transfer-oriented, commissioned, development and transfer network research as well as projects of a charitable nature. The Consulting Centers in the Steinbeis Beratungszentren GmbH are experienced, insightful points of contact for business consulting, evaluation and training. The Steinbeis University Berlin provides in its Transfer Institutes specific knowledge and technology transfer in training courses and degree programs. Steinbeis Beteiligungs-Holding GmbH oversees Steinbeis majority holdings and several company equity holdings.
The Board of Trustees lays down fundamental working practices for the foundation. The Board of Trustees has 22 ordinary and 22 alternate members.
